journey to HCMC

hello peeps.. alhamdulillah we have landed in vietnam airport safe and sound this morning. but now i'm not writing about vietnam yet. its actually the journey here. our flight was scheduled at 6.30am this morning. so mr hubs decided to stay one night in bandar seri begawan to avoid us missing flight. we checked-in at the CentrePoint Hotel which is located at Gadong City. we found an interesting pamphlet for ramadhan buffet at the hotel next to us. the price was still affordable :P. so mr hubs booked us a table for two for iftar. naseb baik booked, tpt ni mmg fullhouse every ramadhan for this sungkai buffet.

my first thought of brunei having a bad taste of food was definitely wrong. it was countless delicious food that we can't even wait for berbuka. and the famous brunei cuisine is the ambuyat. ambuyat diperbuat daripada sagu dan di makan cicah dgn campuran berjenis-jenis sambal. dan makan dengan chopstick ye anak-anak. i was so amazed how the people eat such chewy food with chopstick. i embraced myself to try some. and i can say that ambuyat is not my thing. but its funny to see the stall was the most stall with customers.

of course there were a lot of borneo food being served. some of them were similar to our food, and some were slightly the same. contohnye kuih-muih yg saya amek ni. dalam mangkuk tu nama dia ali umm. dia sepesen dengan bubur lambuk. the different is, ali umm is creamier. bukan beras tau. some sort of mushroom soup with herbs. pastu kek batik dia kaler hijau. then yang gulung dlm daun pisang tu nama dia cencurut. eh celuncut. eh cenlurut. hahahha. lupa la. tp cmtu la bunyi dia. rasa dia mcm kuih warna hijau dlm lompat tikam tu. pastu ade pie kacang merah. nak kata pie tak jugak. dia mcm jelly campur tepung. tp sedap. :P pastu ade yam pudding campur sagu. taktau nape org borneo ni suka sgt mkn sagu.

a happy kiddo. tak berani nak snap gambar main course sbb buruk lantak sgt. huhuhu. tp org borneo mmg mewah dgn seafood. and seafood is my all time fav. :)

setelah melantak sampai ke isyak (sbb ade reason utk solat jamak kan), maka kami berjalan pulang ke hotel. nak bawak perut pun tak larat actually. jalan-jalan tibe2 nampak kasut cute. oohh no no. ini bukan Aldo atau Charles & Keith jauh sekali Nine West. kasut Skechers ok. oowhh ni kasut zaman belajar. lebih tepat, kasut zaman mengorat dolu-dolu. hahahaa. so tanpa berlengah lagi terus kucapai kasut itu. haa sape cakap org kawen tak bole pakai skechers. selesanya- tuhan saja yang tahu..

kalau dah hantu kasut tu mmg tak bole buat ape la kan. tak kesah la brand ape pon. LOL

so jalan-jalan-jalan singgah kedai cd. kedai ni mmg heaven. ckp je nak dvd ape. bak akta omputih, u named it,u got it... hehehe. so i named it as "You're Beautiful"... i heard this series is the most popular one at the moment. hehe.so bole la tgk nnti kat HCMC kalau bosan-bosan tak keluar kan.

teringat zaman Mmu dulu stay up pulun tgk j-drama and k-drama...

Sampai je kat hotel, the room service called.. katanya nak hantar food utk sahur. sampai je, mak aiii byk gile. sup ayam. sayur lemak.ayam goreng. daging rendang. mixed vege. semua panas-panas. complete set dgn buah-buahan dan sirap bandung. mmg terbaek lah. kalau nk tunggu sahur, mesti dah tak sedap sbb dah sejuk. so borak2 before tdo, both of us melantak lagi skali..pastu tentu-tentu tdo kekenyangan... naseb baik ade wake up call. siap-siap, bertolak ke brunei international airport. checked- in. naseb baik flight tak full sgt. airport dia, kalau nak compare dengan KLIA mmg tak pat la kan. kosong.sunyi sepi. maybe pagi lagi kot. kot la kan.

so ini adalah pakaian rasmi pramugari Royal Brunei Air. pakai songkok mcm pertandingan nasyid zaman dulu-dulu. maybe nak tutup aurat. tp tak pun.

hi cik stewardess ..kenapa awak tak serve saya food... saya kan musafir... :)

tp yang bagusnya RBA ni, dia punya inflight entertainment. before departure, screen utk bacaan doa dulu. panjang pulak tu doa naik kenderaan dia. then after that,dia bg headphone. dah nak dekat landing, dia pasang short documentaries about vietnam.

ni husband saya yg belagak takmo pakai headphone. nak pakai ipod dia je. wekkkk

afterall, its a great journey here. now i am enjoying the free wifi at the hotel. browsing on places at HCMC because tomorrow onwards i'll be on my own. goodluck!
